COVID-19 Omicron variant is, apparently, a vaccine sales expert. It avoids immunity acquired by previous infection, and can only be stopped by the vaccine. That being said, it may also be capable of avoiding vaccine-induced immunity – of course, if it can avoid immunity from previous infection it is logical it would be able to avoid immunity gained by vaccination as well.
